Michael G. Bahm, certified retired district state forester, passed away in 2015 after a short illness. Michael was an outstanding forester, firefighter, arborist, teacher, and gardener. His legacy of forestry health science, mitigation, and conservation will continue for centuries throughout the counties of Douglas, Lincoln, and Elbert where he was the district forester for 30 years. To commemorate Michael's many years of work, service, and dedication in the field of forestry, his family is establishing the Michael G. Bahm Scholarship fund, that a student majoring in forestry may use to help cover tuition expenses.
