Support the Dept. of Bioagricultural Sciences & Pest Management
We can all play a role in improving human well-being
through improving the health of our rural and urban ecosystems through education, research,
and community engagement. One way you can help is by supporting students in the
Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management.
Education – We teach classes to over 2000
undergrads and mentor over 50 graduate students each year. Your gift will help
us provide high quality education to students in the management of plants, microbes, and insects in agricultural,
natural, and urban ecosystems. Depending on how you direct your gift, itwill be
usedfor student scholarships and
internships or improved classroom technologies.
Research – We address important research questions that aid
in sustaining our food, bio-fuel, and fiber supply. Your gift will support our
graduate students through student fellowships, research supplies, or improved
Community Engagement– We reach over 10,000 K-12 students yearly with our
science outreach programs in entomology and inform thousands of farmers nationwide
on improved management practices for weeds, harmful insects, and plants
diseases. Your gift will help support our Bug Zoo, our Gillette Museum of
Arthropod Diversity, or our extension efforts.
