The CanineKids Outfitters Cancer Research fund at the
Colorado State University Robert H. and Mary G. Flint Animal Cancer Center is
an endowment to support cutting-edge cancer research and clinical trials.
Improving and extending the quality of life for dogs fighting cancer is at the
core of our mission, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure. The fund was
established in memory of Stella, a beloved Sheltie who was a long-time bladder
cancer survivor. Through her cancer journey, her family learned about the
critical research that made her treatment options available to her. Ultimately,
these treatments enabled her to live her life fully in spite of her cancer. The
intent of the fund is to continue the type of research that benefited Stella to
benefit many other cancer patients.
