Dr. Elnora "Ellie" Gilfoyle, professor and provost emeritus, served Colorado State University and her profession of occupational therapy for more than 40 years. At Colorado State University, she served as a professor and department head of occupational therapy, as a dean of the College of Applied Human Sciences (now the College of Health and Human Sciences), and was named provost/academic vice president of CSU in 1991 - the first and only woman to hold that post in the institution's history.
In 1997, Gilfoyle and her husband Gene established the Gene and Ellie Gilfoyle Endowment for the Assistive Technology Resource Center and the Elnora Gilfoyle Scholarship. The scholarship supports occupational therapy graduate students, and the ATRC endowment provides much-needed support to the center, which ensures equal access to technology and electronic information for CSU students and employees with disabilities. Thank you for making a gift to one or both of these funds in Ellie's honor.
