The High Altitude Revegetation Committee promotes understanding of revegetation procedures when fragile high-elevation and high plains ecosystems are disturbed by human activities. The committee is a grassroots group that is interested in the revegetation and restoration of plant communities and ecosystems. The committee organizes a scientific workshop every two years to share experiences, information, and new ideas to promote better revegetation practices and to improve restoration success. We also host an annual summer tour to visit restoration sites and examine different revegetation techniques that have had various levels of success.
We are currently raising funds for the next workshop, High Altitude Restoration Science and Practice, a collaboration with the Central Rockies chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration, March 7-9, 2017 at Colorado State University.
Your gift to HAR will help improve the state of disturbed ecosystems in Colorado and beyond.
