Jennifer Mueller was
called home Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at 7:15 a.m., after a nearly eight-year battle with cancer. Jennifer's contributions to The Egg & I
family are countless. In the early days, she worked with Patty and Rayno Seaser
as a server and manager before owning her own franchise restaurant with her
family in O'Fallon, Ill. Jenn grew up in an Air Force family and had called
O'Fallon, Ill, home. She graduated from O'Fallon Township High School in 2000 and then attended Colorado
State University. She returned to O'Fallon in 2013, just in time to celebrate the
arrival of her first nephew. She was employed in the Mueller family business,
O'Fallon's The Egg & I restaurant, where she was the director of operations, overseeing marketing and community relations. She was active in the
O'Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce and was a recent graduate of the chamber's leadership institute. In her time with The Egg & I, she opened 12 new
restaurants as a corporate trainer, five of which she served as lead trainer.
No matter where we went or what we were doing, Jenn was never without a smile.
She was incredibly committed, talented, and fun. Her uplifting, positive
attitude was contagious, making even the worst parts of the job seem
effortless. She had a remarkable gift of making friends with everyone she met
and this uncanny ability of making you feel seen, valued, appreciated, and
loved, just by being herself. There is only kindness when it comes to Jenn. She
truly used her life to serve others, not only at the restaurants or at home
with her wonderful family, but through countless philanthropic efforts in the
O'Fallon community. Gone too soon, she left a legacy of love and will be dearly
missed by all who knew her. Five stars, ten stars, not even all the stars in
the sky can come close to expressing the love and gratitude we have in our
hearts for the one and only Jennifer Mueller. The Jenn Mueller Memorial Scholarship will assist students majoring in Hospitality Management withing the College of Health and Human Sciences.
