Kelly Walker (B.S., '88; M.S., '91, '02) was an
instructor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science and served as the
fieldwork coordinator for health promotion and sports medicine. She worked
tirelessly for students until her early retirement due to her multiple
sclerosis diagnosis. After retiring, Kelly continued to support and invest in
students by becoming a scholarship donor. On May 3, 2022, Kelly passed away
with her family by her side. To celebrate Kelly's advocacy, leadership, and
dedication to student wellness at Colorado State University, the Kelly Walker Student
Hive has been created. In the Student Hive, students can rest, recharge,
and focus on their wellness and health. The Student Hive will be located on the
second floor of the Moby Arena, right across from Kelly's former office.
