Kevin Oltjenbruns is an internationally recognized leader in the field of death, dying, grief, and loss. She has served as interim director of three departments within the College of Health and Human Sciences, as assistant dean, associate dean, and interim dean. She served as vice provost for undergraduate studies and was recruited to serve as co-director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Many Human Development and Family Studies students share their talents and energies assisting fellow undergraduates by serving as teaching or research assistants, peer advisers, or working in the Early Childhood Center. In appreciation of students who help enhance the undergraduate education of others, HDFS faculty members Dr. Kevin Oltjenbruns and Dr. Jill Kreutzer established the HDFS Undergraduate Student Scholarship to honor students whose volunteer efforts have made a difference in the educational experiences of fellow students.
