A CSU Tradition Since 1924
It takes a lot to get the A ready for the year, and being a part of the annual Painting of the A tradition is well worth it! Join CSU first-year students and alumni members for a day of service and get an "I Painted the A" t-shirt!
What to Expect
Each shift is approximately two and a half hours long. Volunteers must use provided transportation from the Iris and Michael Smith Alumni Center and must stay for the duration of their shift. Expect to help with painting the A, re-filling supplies and clean-up. Light to moderate lifting may be required for some equipment. The A is not accessible and volunteers will complete a short hike in order to reach the A for painting - each participant is required to sign a liability waiver at check-in. Remember to wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water! Due to the semi-strenuous nature of this activity, participants must be 18 years or older.
