The Premedica Scholarship was established by alumni and friends of the College of Natural Sciences to provide scholarship support for outstanding students who plan to pursue either a medical doctoral or Doctor of Osteopathy degree. The Premedica Scholarship will relieve some of the financial stress for one or more Colorado State University premedical students each year.
The modern era of Premedica advising began with the arrival of Dr. Robert P. Martin on the CSU campus in 1957. “RP” was a freshly minted biochemist who joined two existing pre-med advisers. By 1970, students had founded a new student organization called Premedica. Through all the years and all the changes, Premedica has lived on through the students. Robert Martin, who passed away in December 2014, was an advisor, friend, and mentor to many of his Premedica students. Donations in his memory can be made to this scholarship.
