Ram Handler Application

A Ram Handler's mission is to actively promote Colorado State University through working with CAM the Ram. Ram Handlers bridge the gap between the institution and various external groups, and do so with honor, pride, and professionalism. This is accomplished by:

  • Engaging with University constituents and community members through positive interactions

  • Promoting Colorado State University and CAM the Ram through an atmosphere of school spirit based on pride and commitment

  • Upholding the tradition of CAM the Ram

Ram Handlers are looked upon as a student face of Colorado State University and are held to a higher standard of professionalism, academia, integrity, and respect. A Ram Handler has a positive attitude, a willingness to develop and hone their leadership skills, an interest in Colorado State University traditions, a volunteer spirit, a team player mentality, and the motivation to go above and beyond all that is asked of them. Through all of these qualities, a Ram Handler takes deep pride in the program, pride in working with the University mascot, and pride in his/herself.

Ram Handlers are selected each semester to proudly represent Colorado State University and the Alumni Association on a volunteer basis, escorting CAM the Ram to nearly 80 events throughout the year. Ram Handlers must be full-time students of Colorado State University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5.
