Thanks to a landmark gift from Nancy and Curt Richardson,
co-founders of OtterBox and Blue Ocean Enterprises, Colorado State University
has opened an iconic design center that showcases and elevates several of its
signature academic programs. The Nancy Richardson Design Center includes a new
state-of-the-art creative space for students and faculty in programs across
campus, including interior architecture and design, design and merchandising,
landscape architecture, art, engineering, product development, entrepreneurship,
construction management, and others. The center helps create a physical space
to grow CSU's design-related fields of study, including a new design thinking
certificate program. The goal is to make CSU one of the top 10 design schools
in the country.
The Nancy Richardson Design Center Innovation fund is used to support the ongoing operations, building enhancement, professional development, and programmatic needs of the center.
