The Women in Science Network exists to diversify the
voices present in leadership roles at Colorado State University and beyond by
advancing career pathways of innovative women. We believe that the solution to
barriers women and girls face in science education and in science fields is
discovered by linking arms with people of all genders, all races, all colors,
and all ages. WiSci organizes and promotes three programs to accomplish its
mission: an annual Women in Science Symposium, a quarterly series titled
"Innovating Minds Lecture Series," fostering small-group development for
monthly multitiered student/faculty discussions on career issues, and
sustained mentorship for middle schoolers with a zest and curiosity for
science.
In the 2022-2023 fiscal year, WiSci's goal is to raise
$10,000 in philanthropic support. These funds will be used to support our four
programs in general, and to specifically increase the combined participant base
from 1,300 to 1,600. By expanding this foundation, we will be able to better
refine our programming and further engage our talented scientist and STEM
student communities to prosper and thrive at Colorado State and beyond.
We are encouraged by your consideration of a gift to
WiSci. Thank you for joining us.
