Ben Granger, longtime professor and former director of the School of Social Work at Colorado State University and the co-director of Human-Animal Bond in Colorado program, passed away in January 2015. His memory continues to live on through the meaningful work of the HABIC program, which trains human-animal teams and provides animal-assisted therapies to the Front Range community. Through the continued leadership of Ben’s wife, Georgia, HABIC touches the lives of more than 700 people each week through 54 separate programs in the Northern Colorado community. Support the HABIC program to help it provide much needed therapies to vulnerable populations including at-risk students, hospice patients, and incarcerated youth.
