The mission of the Clinical Biomechanics Laboratory is to reduce injury and improve performance through investigation into the biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system. The lab uses high-speed motion capture, force-measuring platforms, accelerometers, and muscle sensing electromyography to examine movements. It also incorporates musculoskeletal modeling to estimate internal muscle, bone, and joint forces and non-invasive imaging to see inside the body.
This lab has a new, state-of-the-art home in the Human
Performance Clinical Research Lab. Your gift will support current projects
focusing to improve functional movement screening for risk detection as well as
the role of the flooring surfaces on our abilities to perform optimally in a
safe environment.
