New Start for Student-Veterans Program

The New Start for Student-Veterans Program at Colorado State University provides individualized services and support for student-veterans who have sustained injuries that impact their ability to succeed in college and in civilian life. Through the New Start for Distinguished Veterans fund, the program is able to offer services to student-veterans at no cost.

Participating student-veterans identify and use strategies that enhance academic and life success while diminishing barriers such as learning difficulties, memory problems, accessibility issues, and an array of other challenges. The New Start program also benefits CSU’s occupational therapy students who gain experience and knowledge while working with student-veterans, helping them develop strategies that support success.
